Dramawise: The Belle of Amherst

In this interactive, virtual discussion, Gary Cadwallader, PBD Director of Education and Community Engagement, examines Dickinson’s life, her relationships, the major themes in the play, and today’s sociological relevance. The play’s director, William Hayes, and the actress playing Emily, Margery Lowe, then join us for a discussion about PBD’s production. Participants will receive a copy of the play prior to class, and a comprehensive, informative PBD Dramaguide written specifically for this class. After the discussion, participants leave with a deeper understanding of Emily Dickinson and her life in Amherst.
